Congress State President Devendra Yadav assessed the preparations for the North West Lok Sabha seat of India Alliance candidate Dr. Udit Raj on Tuesday. He was very pleased to see Dr. Udit Raj’s preparations. It should be noted that Dr. Udit Raj is receiving strong public support in this parliamentary constituency. He is not only meeting people and listening to their issues, but also making efforts to address the dissatisfaction amongst people.

On Tuesday, Dr. Udit Raj visited the Narela Assembly constituency. He met with the public in Independent City Narela, Sannoth village, Ghogha village, and reached Sector A-10, Amar Bhavan, engaging with them one on one. He reminded them of the pleasant changes in their lives sue to the work he has done in the past. He also met with former MLA and Kirari district president Surendra Kumar, inquiring about his well-being and discussing the elections thoroughly. He expressed heartfelt gratitude to former MLA Shri Jaswant Rana, Dr. Yogananad Shastri, Mahendra Jain, Nirmala Khatri, Ch. Raj Singh Maan, Ramveer, and Lakshmi Narayan for organizing the events in the Narela Assembly constituency.

During a meeting with Dr. Udit Raj, former legislator Surendra Kumar conveyed his commitment and efforts to ensure the victory of the Congress party in the Lok Sabha elections. Devendra Yadav was also present during this meeting. Dr. Udit Raj expressed gratitude for the welcome and hospitality. Surendra Kumar also assured of his support to wards ensuring Congress’s victory in the North West constituency.

BJP has made Yogendra Chandoliya their candidate by cutting the ticket of Hansraj Hans because Hansraj Hans never showed up in the constituency. Therefore, BJP has now thrown this new card. The contest on North West Delhi Lok Sabha seat has become interesting with INDIA alliance candidate Dr Udit Raj set to take on BJP candidate Yogendra Chandoliya. Dr. Udit Raj’s seems to be gaining momentum. He is not only meeting with people from all walks of life but also meeting voters to talk on the issues of the region’s residents. On Sunday, he conducted a tour of Bawana Assembly segment. He addressed a public meeting in Barwala village. He inaugurated an office in Ward 29. He addressed the public in the Jatav Chaupal of Daryapur Kalan village too. He toured Holambi Kalan and Jheemarpura villages, and also participated in a joint meeting in Rithala village. During this outreach campaign, people praised the work done by him. During this time, MLA Rajendra Pal Gautam, Rithala MLA Mahendra Goyal, Pradeep Barwala, Baldev Barwala, Omendra Rana, Memvati Barwala, Satyaprakash Dubas, Manjeet Singh, Ratan Lal, Chandrapal, Narendra Kumar, Rajesh Kumar, Prakash, Deep Khatri, Vishal Maan, former MLA Jaswant Rana, Nagendra Prajapati, Tarachand Saini, Nanakchand Tyagi, and others were seen actively participating in the outreach campaign.

North West Delhi residents heaped praises on Dr Raj’s work as an MP

Dr. Udit Raj kicked off his outreach campaign from Barwala village in the Bawana Assembly on Sunday. Upon reaching the main park of Barwala village, he addressed the public meeting. There, people informed him that the arrangement of the open gym in the park was made possible through his MP fund. The residents of Holambi Kalan and Jheemarpura villages praised the work he had done. Joginder Pappi, a resident of Jheemarpura, told him that during his tenure as their MP, he had visited the area 32 times, whereas the previous MP might not have been seen in the Lok Sabha constituency 32 times in 5 years. He further stated that what was promised was delivered. He informed Dr. Udit Raj that 86 toilets, the initiation of stadium construction, arrangement of lights on roads, and the construction of a cremation ground were all done in the area through his efforts. Another resident, Rasik Khan, mentioned that the development of the area had accelerated during his tenure, and there had been no wandering off after the BJP MP won. Dr. Udit Raj expressed gratitude for the affection being showered upon him by the people of both villages.

Massive public support in Daryapur Kalan village

Dr. Udit Raj inaugurated the office of Ward-29 Pooth Khurd. He motivated the workers to acquaint the people with issues related to inflation and employment. Later, addressing the public at the Jatav Chaupal in Daryapur Kalan village, he said that the support received here has made it evident that there will be a change of power this time. During this time, MLA Rajendra Pal Gautam also reached the meeting to express his gratitude for consideration and to thank all the residents of Daryapur Kalan for their respect. He also attended a joint meeting organized in Rithala, chaired by Rithala MLA Mahendra Goyal. In this meeting, he stated that the authoritarian BJP government has turned politics into a game of either join us or go to jail, but now the Gates of jail will break open and people will vote for INDIA Alliance to wipe out BJP from power.

Dr. Udit Raj, the India Alliance candidate from the North-West Delhi Lok Sabha seat, filed his nomination on Friday, reaching the Returning Officer’s office in Kanjhawala after receiving blessings from women and elders at his Central Election Office at Rohini sector 24 office. It is being said in the area regarding Dr. Udit Raj that ‘the rule of a new dawn is certain’ and Dr. Udit Raj will win the election with a margin on more than 5 Lakhs votes. Before his nomination, a massive crowd gathered at the organized roadshow, showcasing their support for the Congress this time on this seat. Meanwhile, unity of India Alliance was also observed during this time. During this, Devendra Yadav, Delhi Congress interim President, Gopal Rai, AAP Delhi Pradesh President,  Ch. Veerendra Singh, Congress senior leader  along with 8 out of 9 AAP MLAs from North-West Delhi, including Rakhi Birla, Radhuvendra Shaukin, Mukesh Ahlawat, Dharampal Lakra, Jay Bhagwan, Sharad Kumar Chauhan, Ajeesh Yadav, Mohinder Goyal, were present, and due to pre-scheduled engagements, instead of Kiradi MLA Rituraj, his wife joined. All AAP councillors also arrived for the nomination.

Before the nomination, a roadshow was organized for Dr. Udit Raj. His convoy left from his main office in Rohini Sector 24 at 10:30 AM. Starting from Begampur while being Rohini Sector 23, passing through Karala village, reached the District Commissioner’s Office in Kanjhawala. During this roadshow, seeing the massive crowd, Dr. Udit Raj said, ‘Perhaps no candidate in Delhi’s history has seen such a turnout for nomination. This is the final battle to save democracy. There is no alternative; we must win this battle at all costs.’ He also thanked the public and supporters for participating in his roadshow in large numbers. During this time, all MLAs also addressed the public and urged their entire cadre to rally behind Dr. Udit Raj with full energy.

Veerendra Singh said, ‘Now is not the time to lag behind; it is time to win Dr. Udit Raj. We must advance the symbol of our hands everywhere.’ Meanwhile, Delhi Pradesh Congress President Devendra Yadav said, ‘The wind in Delhi has changed, and its result will be seen on June 4. Before that, people are requested to just do their work and press the button on the symbol.’

MLA Rakhi Birla said, ‘The end of the tyrannical government is near, and this time, the India Alliance is set to win all seven Lok Sabha seats. The public has made up their mind to change the government after seeing Kejriwal getting arrested without any proof.’

Dr. Udit Raj is working under a new micro-management formula, connecting with old party workers and assigning responsibilities at the assembly chairman, ward president, and booth levels. He also initiated a digital campaign, managed by his son, Abhi Raj.


Harpreet Singh Dabar, a supporter present at Dr. Udit Raj’s office inauguration, said that Dr. Udit Raj has already done a lot of work for this area, and it’s clear from his theme song that the area will see excellent development if he wins. Congress and BJP have surged ahead in campaigning and booth management for the North West Lok Sabha seat. This has made the North West Lok Sabha seat in Delhi hotly contested. The main reason for this is Congress candidate Dr. Udit Raj, who is also responsible for assigning duties to officials and workers for booth management in his parliamentary constituency. His strategy is to ensure that the party competes strongly at the grassroots level. The party leadership also emphasizes that winning booths ensures winning elections. Dr. Udit Raj held a meeting with all the workers at the main election office on Monday. He assigned the command of the Rohini Assembly to Pandit Sukhbir Sharma and the responsibility of the Kirari Assembly to Dr. Naresh Kumar. Additionally, he has started the work of selecting the chairman of the campaign committee for the assemblies.

To win this seat, Dr. Udit Raj is fighting with a new formula at the booth level. The responsibility of block-level agents is considered crucial in this strategy. This formula is working like a Brahmastra in front of the BJP for the Congress. It will also ensure that every old worker who is not in contact is connected to the Congress organization. Dr. Udit Raj has started the work of selecting the chairman of the campaign committee for the assemblies as part of this. Dr. Udit Raj is pushing the organization forward with strength on his own. The second phase of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 witnessed a provisional voter turnout of 64.2%. Despite isolated incidents of skirmishes and a few grievances reported to the Election Commission, the overall voting process was deemed “peaceful” by the poll panel.

Boycott in Silchar Constituency Raises Concerns

However, the voting process faced challenges in certain areas, notably in the Silchar constituency of Assam, where two election places witnessed a boycott due to concerns regarding development. Chittaranjan Lane and 110 Durganar Bagan Lower Primary School saw a lack of voter participation.

Celebrity Presence Boosts Voting Spirit in Bengaluru

In contrast, the presence of prominent personalities like Anil Kumble, Rahul Dravid, and Javagal Srinath at various polling stations in Bengaluru encouraged voter turnout. Despite over half of Bengaluru’s electorate abstaining from voting, significant numbers turned up in Bangalore Central (52.81%), Bangalore North (54.42%), and Bangalore South (53.15%).

The Gautam Buddh Nagar constituency witnessed a decline in voter turnout, dropping to 53.30% from 60.47% recorded during the 2019 elections, according to data released by the district information office.

North West Lok Sabha seat has become an ardently contested seat in Delhi. The main reason behind this is the Congress candidate Dr. Udit Raj, who is systematically organising and enabling booth management for his constituency’s booths with officers and workers. His strategy is to ensure that the party competes strongly at the ground level in the elections. The party’s top leadership has also reiterated that winning booths means winning elections. Accordingly, a meeting was held on Thursday with booth-level officials.

It should be noted that to win this seat, in-charge Deepak Babaria had advised Dr. Udit Raj to contest with a new formula at the booth level. For outlining this strategy, Dr. Udit Raj organized a meeting on Thursday with Delhi Congress war room officials and discussed with various officers a new strategy for booth-level management. It is believed that this strategy will first be implemented in North West Delhi, and then effectively applied in other constituencies in the future. In this, the responsibility of block-level agents will be crucial, and it can work as a masterstroke for Congress against BJP. It will also ensure that every old worker who is not in contact is also connected with the Congress organization. Present at the war room meeting were war room chairman Rajesh Garg, vice chairman Rajiv Sharma, North West Delhi Lok Sabha desk in-charge Ravindra Kochar, and Sant Kumar Shukla.

During the meeting, Dr. Udit Raj said, “I have been in dialogue with local workers regarding booth-level management for the past month. We have instructed all Congress workers to work together with ‘AAP’ workers at the booth level. Through this collaboration, voting can be peaceful and in large numbers. Workers are being trained to ensure identification of voters and to keep a special eye on EVMs.”

He said, “In addition, work has also begun at the micro-level to realize the goal of ensuring victory. Booth-level workers are being encouraged to repeatedly get voters to vote for the party and the candidate. Along with this, party agents are also being appointed at polling booths during voting time. Efforts are being made to disseminate the party’s promotional material amongst all the voters. There is strong public support for our coalition. But for this support to translate into votes, it is essential to implement this master plan correctly.”

Election Commission Calls out PM Modi and Rahul Gandhi for Violating Code of Conduct

The Election Commission of India made an announcement on Thursday, stating that both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Rahul Gandhi have allegedly breached the Model Code of Conduct. They are accused of fueling hatred and spreading misleading information during their campaigning activities.

According to the Election Commission, both the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the opposition Congress Party have exchanged allegations of inciting animosity and fostering divisions among people based on caste, religion, community, or language.

The Election Commission has set a deadline for responses by 11 a.m. on April 29, expecting clarifications from both parties. Additionally, the EC has invoked Section 77 of the Representation of the People Act, holding party presidents accountable for regulating prominent campaigners.

The BJP has formally urged the Election Commission to take action against Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of making false statements about the country’s increasing poverty levels. The complaint lodged by the BJP alleges that Rahul Gandhi has been intentionally creating divisions between the North and South of India based on language and geography, thus disrupting the electoral environment.

Responding in kind, the Congress Party has filed a formal complaint urging the Election Commission to hold Prime Minister Narendra Modi accountable for his actions during campaigning.

On Tuesday, he held a meeting with unhappy workers, addressing their grievances and securing substantial support .

Devendra Yadav welcomed them with a garland of flowers, and as soon as he sided with Dr. Udit Raj, all suspicions were laid to rest.
