Women insulted again at MP Rakesh Singh’s rally, playing dirty politics amid lack of support from people

Aaj Tak underlines lack of support for MP Rakesh Singh at West Jabalpur seat

Jabalpur, 9th November, 2023 :

In one of its reports on Thursday, famous TV channel Aaj Tak underlined that MP Rakesh Singh will be facing difficulties in winning the upcoming elections. Following that, last night, BJP candidates arrived in Hathital for campaigning and were disheartened when they saw empty chairs. To salvage their dignity, they hastily gathered a crowd from other wards, which led to a clash with the residents of Hathital, who began speaking ill due to not supporting Rakesh Singh. This caused a conflict between the residents and BJP workers. It is said that during this altercation, BJP leader Anju Bhargav used derogatory words against the local women, which forced the police to intervene.

Just a few days ago, during Rakesh Singh’s campaign, there was an incident of assault on a woman. Rakesh Singh is not receiving the expected public support, neither on the ground nor on social media. As a result, tensions are rising, and wherever he goes, controversies seem to follow.

To suppress this incident, the entire BJP machinery is claiming a conspiracy by the opposition. However, one thing is clear: Rakesh’s politics is at stake, and he is determined to win by any means necessary, even if it requires taking extreme measures.

MP Elections 2023: Caste Dynamics Trump Issues in Gwalior-Chambal Region

BSP’s Seat Wins to Determine Outcome

8 November 2023 Gwalior ( Madhya Pradesh)

All Eyes on Gwalior-Chambal Seats in Upcoming Assembly Election

The 34 seats in the Gwalior-Chambal region have taken center stage in the approaching assembly election, marking the first contest post Jyotiraditya Scindia’s switch to the BJP.

Previously, in the 2018 election, the BJP suffered a setback in Scindia’s stronghold due to his immense popularity, impacting the party’s performance.

Presently, the political atmosphere in the Gwalior-Chambal area differs significantly from other regions. Discussions among people predominantly revolve around the candidates’ caste rather than the Congress and BJP.

While Gwalior focuses on local issues and government projects, the Chambal area predominantly centers on caste dynamics, where the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) poses a challenge to the Congress due to caste-related factors.

The BJP faces challenges in some constituencies due to the BSP’s influence. Notably, numerous party-switchers contest across both divisions, reflecting a complex electoral landscape.

Defection has diminished the prominence of key issues, placing caste equations and candidate rivalries at the forefront.

Key leaders like Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, Home Minister Narottam Mishra, Leader of Opposition Govind Singh, and former minister Jaivardhan Singh are in the fray.

The BSP’s strong candidate presence has introduced triangular contests in several constituencies, disrupting traditional BJP and Congress vote banks. This has led to uncertainty in the region.

Despite Scindia’s move to the BJP, public discontent towards candidates has made the ruling party’s contest challenging in this area. The outcome in Gwalior-Chambal remains pivotal in shaping the political destinies of many BJP and Congress leaders, although its impact on forming the next government remains to be seen, leaving significant stakes for both parties.

Protests Intensify in Jabalpur Over BJP’s Abhilash Pandey in MP Elections 2023

Posters in North Central Assembly Attributed to Local Residents

Protests Escalate as “No Outsider” Posters Challenge BJP Leader Abhilash Pandey’s Candidature in Jabalpur North

In the lead-up to the Madhya Pradesh assembly elections, the controversy surrounding BJP leader Abhilash Pandey’s candidacy for the Jabalpur North constituency has intensified. The city is now adorned with posters that emphatically declare, “No outsider candidates are wanted” and “No ticket, no vote.”

These posters have sprung up at various locations within the North Central Assembly area and purport to represent the sentiments of the local residents.

While the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) attempts to downplay the situation, labeling it a conspiracy against the party, the protests in Jabalpur North have been gaining momentum. Tensions rose when the BJP released its fifth list of candidates for the upcoming assembly elections and nominated Abhilash Pandey for the seat. Just days ago, supporters of other BJP leaders, Sharad Jain and Kamlesh Tiwari, created a commotion outside Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav’s office after being denied tickets.

Pandey’s nomination places him in direct competition with the incumbent Congress candidate, Vinay Saxena, who narrowly defeated Sharad Jain, a minister in the Shivraj government, in the 2018 elections by a margin of just 500 votes. This development has left the supporters of Sharad Jain and Kamlesh Tiwari disheartened, as both were vying for the Jabalpur North ticket.
