Dr. K.A. Paul Files PIL in High Court Over Pastor Pagadala’s Death

Renowned peace ambassador and humanitarian Dr. K.A. Paul today appeared before the Chief Justice of the Andhra Pradesh High Court to file a public interest petition challenging the probe into Pastor Praveen Pagadala’s unexplained and tragic demise. Dr. Paul argued that the case is not a mere accident but a premeditated murder, pointing to 22 serious irregularities that cast doubt on the official inquiry.

Key Evidence Still Withheld, Family Faces Intimidation

In his petition, Dr. Paul highlighted that the post‑mortem report remains unpublished, the FIR was lodged only after an undue delay, and the victim’s family and close associates have been repeatedly threatened. He warned that these lapses amount to grave violations of constitutional rights and appear to be part of a concerted effort to suppress the truth.

High Court Orders State Government and DGP to Respond

Recognizing the gravity of these allegations, the High Court has directed the Andhra Pradesh government, the Director General of Police and other concerned parties to file their replies within a prescribed deadline, signaling judicial insistence on transparency and accountability.

Condemnation of Unauthorized Video Leaks, Silence of Officials

Dr. Paul also questioned the silence of certain political and law‑enforcement figures and condemned the circulation of unauthorized video footage before the investigation’s conclusion. He asserted that such leaks breach legal norms, mislead the public and undermine the dignity of the justice system.

Global Concern Over Religious Minorities’ Safety

Fresh from an international peace conference in Europe, Dr. Paul revealed that U.S. senators, members of parliament and European Parliament leaders have expressed deep concern over the case. “This matter transcends national borders,” he stated. “It raises pressing questions about the safety of religious minorities worldwide.”

Call for CBI Investigation and Protection of Constitutional Rights

Urging the court to entrust the case to the Central Bureau of Investigation, Dr. Paul said he possesses forensic, photographic and documentary evidence proving the death was indeed a homicide. “This is not just about one life,” he declared. “It’s a battle for justice, truth and the constitutional rights of every Indian—especially those vulnerable to religious discrimination and violence.”

Appeal for Continued Oversight by Leaders and Human Rights Bodies

In closing, Dr. Paul appealed to national leaders, civil‑society organizations, media outlets and international human‑rights groups to keep a vigilant eye on the proceedings and ensure that those responsible are held to account.
