In a grand ceremony held in the national capital Delhi, a national seminar on the theme “India’s March Toward Green Energy”, followed by the prestigious “Shaurya Samman 2025” awards was organised at Constitution Club of India, New Delhi.

Green Energy and India’s Sustainable Future
Prof. (Dr.) K.G. Suresh while delivering the keynote address elaborated on the essence of green energy:
“Green energy refers to sources that do not harm nature such as solar, wind, and hydro power. Blessed with abundant sunlight, India has the potential to emerge as a global solar leader. The International Solar Alliance is a major step in that direction.”
He emphasized that moving beyond traditional coal and wood-based energy systems is essential for achieving sustainable development.
Global Energy Dependencies & India’s Urgency
The event also reflected on global geopolitics, with speakers referencing the ongoing Israel-Iran tensions. They noted that India currently imports over 80% of its petroleum from such geopolitically volatile regions. The consensus: India must invest heavily in green energy innovations to reduce external dependency and move toward energy self-reliance.
