Who Is Inderjit Singh Yadav? ED Raids UAE Fugitive’s Luxury Assets in Major Extortion Case

The ED raided Inderjit Singh Yadav’s properties and seized luxury cars, cash, and other assets. Authorities are pursuing him for extortion, money laundering, and other criminal activities.

New Delhi: On December 29, 2025, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) raided 10 locations across Delhi, Gurugram, and Rohtak linked to Haryana-based businessman Inderjit Singh Yadav, who faces multiple criminal cases. During the raids, officials seized five luxury cars, Rs 17 lakh in cash, bank lockers, documents, digital devices, and luxury watches. After Yadav fled to the UAE following his involvement in high-profile criminal incidents, authorities are now investigating him for alleged money laundering and extortion.

Who Is Inderjit Singh Yadav?

Inderjit Singh Yadav, also known as Rao Inderjit Singh or Rao Inderjeet Yadav, is a Haryana-born entrepreneur and founder of Gem Records Entertainment Pvt Ltd, launched in 2006. Operating under the brand Gems Tunes, his OTT platform produces Haryanvi, Punjabi, and Hindi songs. With a following of over 12 lakh on Instagram, Yadav frequently showcased his glamorous lifestyle, often sharing pictures with Bollywood celebrities.

Despite this public image, authorities claim he has a long criminal history spanning serious offences such as murder, extortion, fraud, cheating, and illegal land grabbing.

Criminal Charges and Alleged Extortion Network

Yadav is wanted in over 15 FIRs and multiple chargesheets filed by the Haryana and Uttar Pradesh police. He allegedly acted as a “strongman,” using threats, intimidation, and armed associates to settle high-value private loans and financial disputes worth hundreds of crores. Investigators say he earned large commissions from these illegal settlements, which included coercive tactics against businesses and individuals.

Hidden Business Operations

Yadav reportedly ran a website portal to manage loan settlements between companies and private financiers. Firms like Apollo Green Energy Ltd allegedly borrowed large sums from private lenders, using post-dated cheques as security. Yadav and his associates allegedly enforced repayments through threats and violence.

Links to High-Profile Attacks

Authorities have linked his name to violent incidents involving celebrities:

• July 2025: Shots fired at singer Rahul Fazilpuria’s home.
• August 2025: Murder of Rohit Shaukeen, Fazilpuria’s aide, in Gurugram.
• August 18, 2025: Gunfire at YouTuber Elvish Yadav’s residence.

Authorities say Yadav’s network played a role in these incidents, often through affiliated gangs.

Fleeing to the UAE

In late 2024, Haryana Assistant Sub-Inspector Sandeep Kumar Lathar mentioned Yadav in his suicide note, which brought him national attention. Later, investigators suspected Yadav of murdering businessman Manjeet Dighal in Rohtak. To avoid arrest, Yadav fled to the UAE but reportedly continued running his operations from abroad.

The ED is investigating Yadav under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) 2002. Authorities allege he laundered proceeds from extortion to buy luxury vehicles, properties, watches, and jewellery while filing minimal tax returns. In a May 2025 action, the ED had already seized 90 assets, luxury vehicles, jewellery, and over Rs 51 crore in cash linked to Yadav and his associates.

The recent raids targeted properties owned by Yadav, his associates, and connected companies. Authorities seized:

• Five luxury cars
• Rs 17 lakh in cash
• Bank lockers and documents
• Digital devices and luxury watches

The raids highlighted Yadav’s extravagant lifestyle funded by alleged illegal activities.

This case exposes the links between corporate financing, the entertainment industry, and organized crime. The ED investigation is ongoing and may lead to further asset seizures, arrests, and additional revelations about Yadav’s network.
