Delhi Paralympic Committee President Parul Singh interacts with Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan during the launch of Tamilisai Soundararajan’s book
New Delhi: Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan released A Century of Service – The RSS in 100 Acts of Seva, authored by former Telangana Governor and former Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan, at Uprashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on Tuesday.
Delhi Paralympic Committee President Parul Singh and senior journalist Rakesh Kumar Singh attended the book launch and interacted with the Vice President during the event. Secretary to the Vice President Amit Khare, IAS, and several other guests also attended the programme.
During her interaction with C. P. Radhakrishnan, Parul Singh discussed sports, social service and the need to create more opportunities for persons with disabilities. She also highlighted the role of para-sports in promoting inclusion and encouraging wider participation.

“It was a privilege to meet and interact with the Hon’ble Vice President. We spoke about the importance of taking para-sports to a wider audience and creating more opportunities for athletes with disabilities. There is a lot of talent among our athletes, and with the right support and platforms, they can achieve much more,” Parul Singh said.
Rakesh Kumar Singh also spoke about his interaction with the Vice President and the relevance of service and social responsibility.
“It was a warm and meaningful interaction with the Hon’ble Vice President. The discussion around service and social responsibility was particularly relevant to the occasion. As journalists, we also have a responsibility to bring stories of people and initiatives that are making a difference in society to the public,” he said.
The book documents 100 accounts linked to the social-service journey of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh over its century-long history. During the launch, Vice President Radhakrishnan stressed the importance of documenting good work so that it remains part of public memory.
The event brought together people from different fields and provided a platform for discussions on service, social responsibility, sports and public engagement.
