Fallon Guliwala, wife of actor and former Bigg Boss contestant Ajaz Khan, has been released from Mumbai’s Byculla Jail after six months in custody for a narcotics charge. Her arrest followed a raid by customs officials at her Jogeshwari residence in November 2024, during which authorities reportedly seized approximately 130 grams of marijuana and other narcotics, along with ₹11 lakh in cash.
The investigation began with the arrest of Suraj Gaud, an employee at Ajaz Khan’s office who allegedly ordered 100 grams of mephedrone (MDMA) by courier. Subsequent inquiries led officials to Guliwala, resulting in the raid and her subsequent arrest.
Upon her release, Guliwala was greeted by Ajaz Khan, their young son, and her father-in-law, Moh Shafi. The emotional reunion was shared by Khan on social media, accompanied by a heartfelt message: “After all the storms, today a new chapter begins. Welcome back, my love. Stronger together, forever.”
In an interview with Telly Masala, Guliwala reflected on her time in custody, stating, “Bohot bura lag raha hai. I have a wonderfully supportive hubby who has been by my side day and night. Bohot takleef ho gaya.” She also expressed the pain of being separated from her son, describing it as “the worst thing” a mother can experience.
Ajaz Khan, addressing the media, criticized the circumstances of his wife’s arrest, calling it a “fake raid.”He highlighted that Guliwala had never been involved in any illegal activity and thanked everyone who helped them during the process.
The case has raised questions about the procedures followed during the raid. A special court granted bail to Guliwala, noting that the customs officials did not conduct mandatory videography during the search, as required under the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) Act, 2023. The court observed that while CCTV cameras were present at the residence, officials allegedly instructed Guliwala to shut them down during the raid.
Ajaz Khan himself has faced legal issues in the past, including a 2021 arrest by the Narcotics Control Bureau in a separate drug case, for which he was later released on bail. He also contested the Maharashtra Assembly Elections from the Versova constituency but was unsuccessful.
As the investigation continues, authorities have expressed interest in questioning Khan regarding the drugs found at his residence and office. However, he was reportedly unavailable for interrogation at the time.
