With Only 30 Units Available, the ₹73.16 Lakh Special Edition Pays Tribute to the Iconic 1941 Willys MB, Blending Classic Design with Modern Features.
5 May 2025, New Delhi
Jeep India has rolled out a special edition of its flagship off-roader—the Wrangler Willys ‘41 Edition—priced at ₹73.16 lakh (ex-showroom). The new variation, limited to only 30 units countrywide, is a sentimental tribute to the brand’s wartime past, drawing direct inspiration from the renowned Willys MB, which debuted in 1941.
Honouring a Military Icon
The Wrangler Willys ‘41 Edition is rooted in Jeep’s storied past. Finished in a distinctive “41 Green” shade that echoes the olive drab of the original military Jeeps, this variant stands out as both a collector’s item and a design statement. A prominent ‘1941’ decal on the bonnet reinforces its historic connection, commemorating the year Jeep’s military journey began. Buyers can also opt for other Wrangler colour options including white, black, red, and grey.
Based on the top-tier Rubicon trim, the ‘41 Edition maintains the Wrangler’s signature rugged profile. It includes unique elements such as powered side steps, custom cabin grab handles, and durable all-weather floor mats designed to blend functionality with homage.
Feature-Packed Cabin
Inside, the SUV strikes a balance between practicality and comfort. The dashboard houses a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system complemented by a fully digital instrument cluster. A premium Alpine audio system, wireless smartphone connection, 12-way power-adjustable front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a suite of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) improve convenience and safety. Jeep has also included front and rear dash cameras to improve usage on a daily basis.
For off-road enthusiasts looking to personalize their ride, Jeep is offering an optional adventure package at ₹4.56 lakh. This add-on includes a Sunrider soft rooftop, a roof carrier, and a side ladder—ideal for long-distance travel and outdoor adventures.
Unchanged Mechanical Setup
Under the hood, the Willys ‘41 retains the mechanical setup of the standard Wrangler. It runs on a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine producing 270 horsepower and 400Nm of torque. Mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and Jeep’s full-time four-wheel-drive system, the SUV remains true to its trail-rated DNA, promising top-tier off-road performance.
