Arvind Kejriwal was arrested on March 21 in connection with the excise policy-linked money laundering case

In the matter of whether to remove Arvind Kejriwal from his position as chief minister of Delhi following his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a money laundering case related to the now-cancelled excise policy case, the Delhi High Court said on Monday that the petitioner should bear heavy costs. The bench chaired by Acting Chief Justice Manmohan received the plea from former AAP MLA Sandeep Kumar.
Chaired by Chief Justice Manmohan, the bench overseeing the case received Kumar’s plea, which sought Kejriwal’s removal from his position as Chief Minister of Delhi. However, the court’s decision was influenced by the observation made by judicial panel Subramonium Prasad. Noting that similar relief had been sought in two previously rejected pleas, Prasad’s panel redirected the case to another bench for reconsideration.
The court has scheduled a rehearing of the matter for April 10th
