New Delhi: Parul Singh, president of the Delhi Paralympic Committee, has received the Khel Ratna Award for her efforts to promote para sports and support athletes with disabilities. The recognition highlights her work towards expanding opportunities and strengthening the Paralympic sports ecosystem.
The award was presented during the Marathi Melava and Sahyadri Ratna (Khel Ratna) Awards ceremony at Maharashtra Sadan in New Delhi on Friday. The event marked the seventh anniversary of the Dainik Rashtra Sahyadri Media Group and recognised contributions to sports and social inclusion.
Dignitaries Attend the Award Ceremony
Several political leaders and public representatives attended the ceremony. The guests included Union Minister of State for AYUSH and Health and Family Welfare Prataprao Jadhav, Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Ramdas Athawale, and Maharashtra Cabinet Minister Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil.
Former BJP National Vice-President Shyam Jaju and Neela Vikhe Patil, a Member of Parliament representing Stockholm City constituency in Sweden, were also present.
