GAIL launches Wah Kya Energy Hai Season 2 with four short films and Naye Bharat Ki Nayi Energy anthem to promote clean energy choices across India

New Delhi: GAIL (India) Limited has launched the second season of its consumer awareness campaign, Wah Kya Energy Hai, alongside a new anthem titled Naye Bharat Ki Nayi Energy. The campaign features four short films on GAIL’s official YouTube channel and encourages consumers to explore cleaner and more sustainable fuel options.

The campaign highlights the use of compressed natural gas (CNG), piped natural gas (PNG), liquefied natural gas (LNG) and compressed biogas (CBG). It also focuses on energy applications across households, businesses and industries, with special attention to younger consumers, including Gen Z.

GAIL Uses Everyday Stories to Promote Clean Energy

Season 2 follows the Mishra family through familiar situations, such as a trip to Varanasi, family celebrations and an event at Senior Mishra’s factory. The films use humour and relatable storytelling to explain the role of cleaner fuels in everyday life.

Each episode runs for around 8–10 minutes and showcases applications across domestic, commercial and industrial sectors. Through these stories, GAIL aims to make energy awareness more engaging and encourage consumers to make informed fuel choices.

New Anthem Showcases GAIL’s Energy Solutions

The campaign’s anthem, Naye Bharat Ki Nayi Energy, runs for more than four minutes and presents GAIL’s energy initiatives. These include India’s first floating CNG station in Varanasi and the company’s work in compressed biogas.

The anthem also highlights how adopting cleaner fuel alternatives can contribute to reducing carbon footprints and supporting more sustainable energy consumption.

Campaign Targets Consumers Across Digital and Traditional Media

GAIL is promoting the campaign through its social media channels, influencer initiatives, digital banners, radio, cinema and interactive gamification activities. The company is also using short digital formats to reach wider audiences.

Consumers can listen to the anthem on Spotify, Amazon Music, Gaana and JioSaavn.

GAIL Highlights Youth Participation in Energy Transition

Ayush Gupta, Director (HR) at GAIL, who also leads Corporate Communications and Branding, said the campaign aims to increase awareness about cleaner energy choices and environmental responsibility.

He noted that the company has included Gen Z because young people can play an important role in the energy transition. He also highlighted GAIL Utkarsh, the company’s CSR initiative supporting meritorious students from underprivileged communities, and its floating CNG stations in Varanasi.

As India continues to explore cleaner energy alternatives, GAIL is working to expand awareness of natural gas and its applications. The company aims to support national sustainability goals through its energy portfolio and consumer outreach.

Actors Srikant Verma, Divya Jagdale, Luv Vispute and Ahmed Khan feature in the four short films.
