Dr K.A. Paul Urges Religious Freedom and Equality Ahead of RSS Chief Bhagwat’s US Visit

US-Based Evangelist Urges Bhagwat to Reaffirm India’s Commitment to Peace, Democracy and Religious Equality

NEW DELHI & Washington D.C.:US-based evangelist, humanitarian and peace advocate Dr. K.A. Paul has appealed for religious freedom, equality and peaceful coexistence among people of all faiths ahead of RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s reported visit to the United States.

Dr. Paul said he did not support efforts to prevent Bhagwat from travelling to the US, stressing that freedom and equal treatment should be extended to people regardless of their religion or ideology. He said those advocating religious freedom for Christians, Muslims, Hindus and Sikhs in India should also respect the same principles when dealing with visitors to the US.

He said blocking Bhagwat’s visit would be inconsistent with broader calls for peace, tolerance and religious freedom. Referring to the suffering of Christians in Manipur, Dr. Paul stressed that the rights, dignity and safety of people from every faith must be protected.

Dr. Paul also urged Bhagwat to use his proposed address in New York to reassure Christians and members of other religious communities that India remains committed to democracy and equal rights. He called on the RSS chief to condemn incidents of violence and assure people that violence similar to that witnessed in Manipur would not be repeated.

According to Dr. Paul, such a message could help rebuild trust among different communities and encourage dialogue instead of division. He also appealed to peace-loving people to support efforts promoting harmony and peaceful coexistence.

Dr. Paul, who has been associated with international peace initiatives involving leaders from the world’s seven major religions, urged people across communities to share the message of peace and strengthen interfaith understanding.
