New Delhi: The Delhi Paralympic Committee celebrated a proud moment as its President, Ms. Parul Singh, received the prestigious National Icon Award 2026 for her exceptional contribution to promoting para sports, empowering para-athletes, and strengthening inclusive sports in India.
Arogya Darpan organised the grand award ceremony at the Constitution Club of India, New Delhi, where Ms. Parul Singh received this honour.
Ms. Parul Singh received the honour from a distinguished panel of dignitaries, including Shri Saurabh Kumar Tewari, Additional Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat, Government of India; Smt. Rashmi Mishra, National Advisor, MSME; Shri Pradeep Gandhi, Former Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha); and Shri Ram Verma, Chairman of the Organising Committee, National Icon Awards 2026.
Strengthening Opportunities for Para-Athletes
The prestigious recognition highlights Ms. Singh’s continuous efforts to create more opportunities for para-athletes, ensure equal participation in sports, and strengthen the para sports ecosystem in Delhi.
Under her leadership, the Delhi Paralympic Committee has been actively working to identify and nurture talent, increase athlete participation, and provide greater recognition and support to sportspersons with disabilities.
