Artists from Uttarakhand, Punjab, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh to showcase the richness and diversity of Indian classical dance
New Delhi: Kala Chaitanya Society will organise the ‘Yuva Nritya Mahotsav’ on September 1, 2026, at 7:00 PM at the prestigious Stein Auditorium, India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi, as part of its continued efforts to promote Indian art and culture and encourage emerging artistic talent. The festival aims to provide young artists from across the country with a prestigious national platform to showcase their talent, artistic expression and contribution to India’s rich cultural heritage, while bringing greater visibility to the diverse traditions of Indian classical dance.

Kala Chaitanya Society, founded by noted Kathak artist Shri Vishwadeep, has been actively promoting Indian culture through cultural programmes, workshops and artistic initiatives. As an artist, teacher, researcher and cultural administrator, Vishwadeep has represented Indian culture at several international platforms.
The organisation’s Secretary, Shri Pradeep Kumar Pathak, a former Tabla Guru at Kathak Kendra, has also contributed to several dance productions and cultural initiatives. The society continues to focus on encouraging young artists and providing them with opportunities to grow.
The event will be attended by eminent personalities, including Padma Shri and Sangeet Natak Akademi Award-winning Kathak exponent Vidushi Shovana Narayan, BJP leader and social worker Shri Bhuvnesh Singhal, Shri Ashok Tiwari of Sanskar Bharati, and Shri Devesh Shukla, former Public Relations Officer to the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand and current advisor to Prabhat Khabar. The programme will be hosted by Shri Kuldeep Sharma.
Young artists from Uttarakhand, Punjab, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh will present Indian classical dance performances. The programme will feature Aanchal Sharma and Aastha Gupta, Atul Kumar and Dhriti Sharma, Richa Baluni and Tarushi Rajoura, and will conclude with a duet by Suraj Kumar and Ruchika Bagga.
The Yuva Nritya Mahotsav is expected to celebrate India’s rich cultural heritage, youthful talent and the diversity of Indian classical dance while fostering cultural exchange among artists from different states.
