The book by Dr. Bhargav Mallappa examines India’s transformation and reflects on the country’s past, present and future
Sulthan Bathery, Wayanad: Dr. Bhargav Mallappa’s book, The Modi Era: India’s Journey of Transformation, was launched in Sulthan Bathery, Wayanad, on Monday during the Birthday Week Celebrations of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The event was organised by the Akhila Sevak Samaj Council (ASSC) and held at Adithara Auditorium in the presence of spiritual leaders, public representatives, social leaders, academics, workers’ representatives and members of the media.
The book documents a period of transformation in India and examines the country’s journey, its present position and its possible direction in the future. Dr. Mallappa, who is the Founder of ASSC, said the book was developed after months of reading, observation and reflection.
He said the launch was intended to open a broader discussion on India’s transformation and encourage readers to engage critically with the ideas presented in the book.
The welcome address was delivered by Dr. S. Selvaganesh, National Chairman, Bharathiya Hindu Parivar and Member, Zonal Railway Users Consultative Committee (ZRUCC), Ministry of Railways, Government of India.
The launch was attended by Madurai Aadheenam Srimath Vishwalinga Thambiran, Thiru Rajasekar Swamigal, Thavathiru Palani Adigalar, Mahaa Shri Shri Yukteshwara Paramacharya Swamigal, Shri Karan Bhushan Singh, Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha), Shri T. S. Srivatsa, MLA, Krishnaraja Constituency, Mysuru, Shri Satyendra Kumar Bari, Member, State Commission for Backward Classes, Uttar Pradesh, Prasanth Malavayal, BJP District President, Wayanad, Dr. Subbha Somu, Shri Chandan Kumar, Dr. Mahalakshmi and Kaleem Bharathi, among other dignitaries.
Dr. Mallappa said he hoped readers would engage with the book by accepting some ideas, questioning others and forming their own views on India’s transformation. He also expressed hope that the book would encourage discussions among young people, communities, institutions and readers across the country.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Shri Manoj Sharma.
