“Rajnath Mango” – A Unique Tribute to the Defence Minister Amid a Surge of National Pride; Veteran Journalist Rakesh Kumar Applauds the Gesture

New Delhi, As the nation celebrates unity and collective strength under the spirit of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, renowned horticulturist and Padma Shri awardee Kaleem Ullah Khan—popularly known as the “Mango Man”—has named a newly developed variety of mango after Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. This special gesture honors Singh’s unwavering dedication to the nation and the successful execution of Operation Sindoor.

The tribute comes at a time when Rajnath Singh’s recent remarks on Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) have resonated widely across the country.

“I believe the people of PoK are our own, part of our extended family… Guided by their self-respect and inner voice, they will one day surely return to the Indian mainstream,” Singh had said.

Echoing the sentiment, senior journalist Rakesh Kumar praised the decision to name the mango after the Defence Minister. He remarked:

“Dedicating a mango variety to Shri Rajnath Singh is not merely a symbolic act—it reflects the genuine admiration the public holds for a strong, compassionate, and patriotic leader. His statement on PoK embodies the true spirit of national unity, and Kaleem Ullah Khan’s tribute beautifully links the pride of our land to the honour of our sovereignty.”

The “Rajnath Mango” will soon be showcased at various agricultural fairs and exhibitions. It is set to become a symbol of India’s cultural richness, rising strength, and leadership that connects hearts beyond borders.

Kaleem Ullah Khan has previously named mango varieties after several notable personalities. However, he emphasized that “Rajnath Mango is not just about leadership—it represents the vision of India that Rajnath Singh stands for.”
