In the wake of rising India-Pakistan tensions, actress Hina Khan faces online backlash from Pakistani fans for supporting her country, asserting, “If I’m not Indian, I’m nothing”

As geopolitical tensions escalate between India and Pakistan, the ripple effects are now reaching the entertainment world. Renowned Indian actress Hina Khan has recently come under fire from certain Pakistani social media users, facing a barrage of abuse and threats. The backlash follows her vocal support for India during a sensitive period, particularly surrounding her association with Operation Sindoor.
Taking to Instagram Stories, Hina addressed the hate she’s been receiving. “I am an artist, and all my life, I’ve only spread love—even beyond borders. But ever since I showed support for my country, I’ve been receiving a wave of hateful comments, insults, and threats. Many have unfollowed me, and some are even threatening to do so, accompanied by vile, derogatory language aimed not only at me but also my family, my illness, and my religion,” she wrote.
Hina firmly stated, “I don’t expect you to support my country. I understand that you will stand by your nation. I don’t even expect you to grasp the nuances of the situation. All I ask is to show some basic humanity—the kind I’ve always extended toward you. But sadly, this is where the difference between us lies.”
She concluded her message with a powerful declaration: “If I’m not Indian, then I’m nothing. I will always be an Indian first. So yes, you can unfollow me—it doesn’t affect me. I have never used foul language toward anyone; I’ve merely stood by my country.”
Hina emphasized that one’s words are a mirror of their mindset. “The way you act during challenging times reveals the true essence of your character. It speaks volumes about who you are, not about me. No matter what the circumstances may be, my loyalty to my country will never waver,” she declared.
