Patna: The Bihar Museum in Patna showcases Bihar’s history, culture and art through a collection presented in a modern and interactive setting. The museum attracts visitors from across India and abroad and offers an opportunity to explore the state’s historical and cultural heritage.
Several prominent personalities have visited the museum and spoken about its approach to preserving and presenting Bihar’s heritage.
Recently, singer and songwriter Sona Mohapatra praised the Bihar Museum, saying that anyone interested in understanding their roots and history should visit it. Referring to journalist Saurabh Dwivedi’s appreciation of the museum, she said her own visit confirmed why he had spoken highly of the institution.
The Bihar Museum houses thousands of artefacts associated with Bihar and Indian history. Its collections include sculptures, coins, manuscripts, inscriptions, terracotta objects and artworks from different historical periods. On the occasion, Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary spoke about the importance of Bihar’s cultural heritage, art and knowledge traditions for audiences in India and abroad.
