Dr. Manoj Kumar Sharma Engages NIFTEM’s New Batch Through Interactive Communication Session

Kundli: Newly admitted students of B.Tech (FTM), B.Tech (FT&MBA) and BBA (Hons.) at the National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management (NIFTEM), Kundli, participated in an interactive session on the “Essentials of Communication” conducted by Dr. Manoj Kumar Sharma as part of the institute’s induction programme.

Dr. Sharma used practical examples, interactive activities and real-life communication situations to help students understand the importance of effective communication in academic, professional and personal life. The session focused on key aspects such as clarity, confidence, active listening, body language and effective expression.

The students actively participated in discussions and activities, making the session an engaging and practical learning experience.

Dr. Neeraj, Professor and Dean (Academics), NIFTEM-Kundli, said, “Effective communication is an essential skill for students as they begin their academic journey. Sessions like these help them develop confidence and prepare for future professional responsibilities.”

Dr. Vijay Kumar Gahlawat, Professor and Associate Dean (Student Welfare), NIFTEM-Kundli, said, “The interactive approach encouraged students to participate, communicate openly and learn beyond the conventional classroom environment.”

Sharing their experience, Vaishnavi, a student from Bihar, said, “The session was very interesting and different from a regular lecture. The activities helped us understand communication in a practical way.”

Vijay, a student from Tamil Nadu, said, “It was an enriching experience. The interactive activities created a comfortable environment for participation and helped us learn skills that will be useful in college and our future careers.”

The session concluded with students gaining practical insights into effective communication and its relevance to their overall development. The induction programme continues to provide newly admitted students with opportunities to develop essential academic, professional and interpersonal skills.
