Dr. Bhargav Mallappa, Chairman, Akhila Sevak Samaj Council (ASSC) has extended his heartfelt congratulations to senior Congress leader and Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D. K. Shivakumar on being chosen to lead Karnataka as CLP Leader and state’s next Chief Minister.
Dr. Mallappa said that Shivakumar’s elevation to the top post reflects the trust reposed in his leadership, organizational abilities, and long-standing commitment to public service. He expressed confidence that Karnataka will continue its journey of inclusive growth, social welfare, and economic development under Shivakumar’s leadership.
Recalling his own association with the Congress party at the grassroots level in Karnataka, Dr. Mallappa said he has witnessed Shivakumar’s political journey and his deep connect with party workers and citizens across the state.
“Shri D.K. Shivakumar Sir has worked tirelessly for the people of Karnataka and has demonstrated remarkable leadership throughout his public life. His understanding of grassroots issues and commitment to development make him well-positioned to guide the state forward. I extend my best wishes to him for a successful tenure as Chief Minister,” Dr. Mallappa said.
As National Chairman of Akhila Sevak Samaj Council (ASSC) and National Deputy Chairman of the People Forum of India (NBSS), Dr. Mallappa has himself been actively engaged in grassroots development initiatives benefiting rural communities. Through education, healthcare, and social welfare outreach programmes across Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala, he has helped improve the lives of more than 10,000 individuals, particularly in underserved villages. He has also worked extensively to empower farmers through sustainable agricultural practices, capacity-building workshops, improved market access, and financial inclusion initiatives.
Dr. Mallappa expressed hope that the new government would continue prioritizing rural development, farmer welfare, youth empowerment, quality education, and accessible healthcare, ensuring that the benefits of growth reach every section of society.
