Bollywood Star Targeted: Why Disha Patani’s Home Came Under Attack

Gang had been monitoring actress’s Bareilly residence for extortion, reveals investigation.

The Disha Patani house firing case took a dramatic turn on Wednesday evening when a high-intensity police encounter in Ghaziabad’s Tronica City ended with the death of two wanted gangsters. The accused, identified as Ravinder from Rohtak and Arun from Sonepat, were linked to the dreaded Rohit Godara–Goldy Brar gang. Both criminals were directly involved in firing bullets outside Bollywood actress Disha Patani’s residence in Bareilly last week.

According to police sources, the encounter unfolded after the gangsters, riding a stolen motorbike, were intercepted by joint police teams. Instead of surrendering, the men opened fire at officers, injuring some personnel and damaging a police vehicle. In retaliation, police returned fire, critically injuring the duo. They were rushed for treatment but succumbed to their injuries later.

How the Disha Patani House Firing Case Began

The incident goes back to the early hours of September 12, when two men on a motorbike brazenly fired multiple rounds outside Disha Patani’s Bareilly home. The shocking attack created panic and raised serious concerns about the security of celebrities. Soon after, a social media account linked to Goldy Brar’s associates claimed responsibility for the attack, confirming that it was a deliberate attempt to extort the actress and her family.

Following this, police launched a massive manhunt. Investigators worked relentlessly, scanning CCTV footage from around the actress’s house and tracking suspicious movements in Bareilly and nearby areas. Technical surveillance and crime databases were used to identify the accused as Ravinder and Arun, both already known for their criminal activities across Haryana.

How Cops Tracked the Shooters

By September 16, investigators traced the gangsters’ movements to Ghaziabad. Acting swiftly, a joint operation was planned to intercept them. On Wednesday evening, around 7:20 pm, police teams spotted the accused near Tronica City. Officers tried to stop their bike and urged them to surrender peacefully. However, the gangsters responded with heavy gunfire.

The sudden attack left four officers injured, including a sub-inspector and a head constable who sustained bullet injuries to their hands. Two members of the Special Task Force were also hurt during the gunfight. Despite the unexpected assault, the police retaliated strongly, ensuring that the criminals were neutralized before they could escape.

Why Disha Patani’s House Was Targeted

Officials revealed that the gang had been keeping a close watch on Disha Patani’s residence for several weeks. Their intention was to threaten and extort the actress and her family, a common pattern seen in gang-led operations targeting high-profile individuals. Ravinder, one of the slain criminals, had a long list of cases against him. He was wanted in a 2024 court firing incident in Fatehabad and was also part of a gang war in Bhiwani earlier this month, where gunmen opened fire outside a courthouse.

The encounter exposed how far the Rohit Godara–Goldy Brar network had spread its influence across Haryana, Punjab, and Uttar Pradesh. The gang has been linked to multiple high-profile crimes, extortion attempts, and targeted killings.

What Police Recovered After the Encounter

After the shootout, police recovered a stolen motorbike that the accused had been using to move around undetected. They also seized two sophisticated weapons — a Zigana pistol and a Glock Gen 5 pistol — both commonly used by professional hitmen and gangsters. The recovery of these foreign-made firearms highlighted the growing use of advanced weapons in organized crime networks.

A Major Blow to the Goldy Brar Network

The deaths of Ravinder and Arun are being hailed as a major breakthrough in the Disha Patani house firing case and a big setback for the Goldy Brar gang. With their elimination, police believe that an important link in the extortion racket has been cut off. Officials also confirmed that intelligence inputs suggest more gang members were involved in planning the Bareilly attack, and further operations are underway to catch them.

The swift and coordinated action in Ghaziabad not only prevented further threats to the actress’s family but also sent a strong message to criminal networks attempting to spread terror. For now, the encounter has ensured that the gang’s attempt to extort one of Bollywood’s most popular actresses has been foiled.
