Bihar has revamped its Single Window Clearance Portal, bringing 62 services across 9 departments onto one digital platform for investors
Patna: Bihar has revamped its Single Window Clearance Portal to make it easier for investors to obtain approvals and access government services through one digital platform.
The Department of Industries launched the upgraded portal under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Samrat Choudhary and guidance of Industries Minister Ms. Shreyasi Singh. Industries Department Secretary Shri Kundan Kumar launched the revamped system in the presence of senior government officials and representatives from major industry associations.
The updated portal now offers 62 services across 9 departments. Investors can use the platform to find the approvals required for their projects, submit applications, upload licences they have already received and track their applications online.
The integrated system covers services linked to the Pollution Control Board, Prohibition, Excise and Registration, Legal Metrology, Water Resources, Fire, Energy (DISCOM), Environment and Forest, Road Construction, and Revenue and Land Reforms departments.
Investors Can Check Approvals Through KYA Module
The revamped Know Your Approval (KYA) module allows investors to identify the approvals needed at different stages of a project. The system separates requirements into Pre-Establishment and Pre-Operation stages.
After identifying the required approval, investors can directly access the application facility through the portal.
The platform also includes Register Your Intent, Strategic Partnership and Investor Facilitation features. These services allow investors to connect with designated officials at the sector and district levels. They can also access contact details and book appointments through the system.
Focus on Easier Digital Access
Speaking at the launch, Industries Department Secretary Shri Kundan Kumar said the revamped portal would improve transparency and give investors better visibility into the approval process.
He said the integration of services, applications and investor facilitation would allow investors to manage their requirements and track applications through a single platform.
Director, Industries, Shri Mukul Kumar Gupta said the upgraded Single Window system is aimed at strengthening Bihar’s Ease of Doing Business framework.
He said the portal brings approval identification, applications, document uploads and investor facilitation together to create a more streamlined digital process.
The Department of Industries said it will continue to expand the Single Window ecosystem and add more integrated services for investors in Bihar.
