Anand S. Jondhale Honored with Dr. Ambedkar Janmabhoomi Award for Contribution to Social Justice

On the auspicious occasion of Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar’s birth anniversary, a grand ceremony was held at his birthplace in Mhow, where senior Supreme Court advocate and National Secretary (Social Justice Department) of the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar faction), Anand S. Jondhale, was honored with the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Janmabhoomi Award.

The special event was organized by NCP (SP) Madhya Pradesh, where Mr. Jondhale participated as the Chief Guest. In his address, he highlighted the life, struggles, and immense contributions of Dr. Ambedkar toward social harmony. He emphasized that Babasaheb fought tirelessly for the establishment of an egalitarian society and made historic efforts to secure equal rights for women.

On receiving the award, Mr. Jondhale said, 

“It is an immense honor and moment of pride for me to be awarded the ‘Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Janmabhoomi Award’ in 2025. This recognition is a result of my continued efforts, and I wholeheartedly thank all the institutions and jury members responsible for this honor. Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s thoughts and contributions have always been a source of inspiration for me. This award will further motivate me to fulfill my responsibilities towards society with even greater dedication.”

He further described the principles of equality, justice, and liberty enshrined in the Constitution as the true strength of the nation, and urged the youth to take inspiration from Dr. Ambedkar’s ideas and actively contribute to nation-building.

The event saw the presence of a large gathering including local citizens, social activists, intellectuals, and party workers. The ceremony began with floral tributes to Dr. Ambedkar’s portrait. A collective pledge was taken from the stage to spread Babasaheb’s thoughts to every village and every household.

Cultural performances and speeches paid tribute to Babasaheb and called for internalizing and living by his ideals.
