Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda are officially married after a nine-year love story. The couple tied the knot in Udaipur with traditional Telugu and Kodava ceremonies, a private celebration, special pre-wedding events, and blessings from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Udaipur: Actors Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda — lovingly called “Virosh” by fans — are now officially married. The couple tied the knot in Udaipur in a celebration that was private, traditional, and also had global touches. Their wedding reflected both their cultures and their personalities — simple yet meaningful.
This was not just one ceremony, but two. The day began with a traditional Telugu wedding in the morning to honour Vijay’s Andhra roots. Later in the evening, they held a Kodava ceremony to respect Rashmika’s Coorg heritage. The Telugu wedding muhurtam reportedly took place at 10:10 AM at ITC Grand Mementos, a luxury property located about 25 kilometres outside Udaipur in the Aravalli Hills.
A Wedding That Celebrated Two Cultures
Even though both stars are popular across India, they kept the focus on tradition. Guests enjoyed a traditional South Indian meal served on banana leaves, which symbolise prosperity. Coconut water was also served as a sign of purity and welcome.
The pre-wedding celebrations started on February 24 and were filled with fun and emotions. One highlight was the “Virosh Premier League,” a friendly cricket match where Vijay’s team won the game while Rashmika’s team won a musical chair competition.
The Sangeet ceremony was especially emotional. Vijay’s mother, Madhavi, surprised everyone with a performance. She also gifted Rashmika family heirloom bangles, officially welcoming her into the Deverakonda family.
Adding an international touch, Rashmika shared photos of a special pre-wedding dinner featuring a curated Japanese menu. The dinner was beautifully decorated with blush-pink lilies and hydrangeas.
Private Yet Thoughtful Celebrations
The couple maintained strict privacy during the wedding. They followed a no-phone policy, and photographers and planners signed non-disclosure agreements to keep everything confidential.
However, they made sure to show kindness. They arranged lunch and dinner for the paparazzi waiting outside the venue so that the media felt appreciated even though access was restricted.
The guest list was small, with around 100 close family members and friends. Among the attendees were directors Sandeep Reddy Vanga and Rahul Ravindran, and actors Kalyani Priyadarshan, Eesha Rebba, and Ashika Ranganath.
Blessings from the Prime Minister
The couple also received a special message from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He sent a heartfelt letter to both families and described their marriage as a “divinely scripted chapter.” He wished them a life filled with shared dreams and happiness.
A 9-Year Love Story
Rashmika and Vijay’s journey together has lasted nine years. They first met in 2017 while working on the film Geetha Govindam. Rashmika once admitted that she was initially “scared” of Vijay, who was known for his intense role in Arjun Reddy.
Over time, their friendship turned into a deep bond. In interviews, Rashmika described Vijay as her “safe haven.” In 2025, she said her partner helped her heal from pain he did not even cause. Last year, during a public event, Vijay praised her and said, “One day the world will see you for who you are… you are an amazing woman.”
What’s Next for the Couple?
The newlyweds will host a grand wedding reception in Hyderabad on March 4. There are also reports of another reception in Mumbai for their friends from the Hindi film industry.
On the professional front, Rashmika and Vijay will soon share screen space again in the period drama Ranabaali, directed by Rahul Sankrityan, which is expected to release in September 2026.
Staying true to their simple nature, the couple made a heartfelt request to their guests: no gifts, only blessings — written in handwritten notes.
After nine years of love, friendship, and growth, “Virosh” have finally begun their new journey together — surrounded by tradition, family, and heartfelt wishes.
