Dr. K. A. Paul Leads Silent Global Prayer Gathering, Echoing Messages of Peace Across 1.2 Million Locations Worldwide

24 May 2025, New Delhi

The Global Peace Meeting, led by internationally renowned peace evangelist Dr. K. A. Paul, was held peacefully this evening at Gymkhana Grounds, Secunderabad, following conditional permission granted by the Hon’ble Telangana High Court.

In line with the court’s directives, the event was conducted as a silent prayer gathering with under 1,000 participants and no speeches or preaching. Dr. Paul expressed his gratitude to Hon’ble Justice Nandikonda Narasinga Rao for enabling the peaceful assembly and emphasized that the Secunderabad event was part of a broader global movement.

Over 1.2 million prayer gatherings took place simultaneously across churches, temples, mosques, synagogues, and homes worldwide. The central intention was to pray for global peace, particularly calling for an end to armed conflicts in Ukraine, the Middle East, Africa, and the prevention of future conflict between India and Pakistan.

Dr. Paul called on global leaders—including those from India, Pakistan, the U.S., the EU, and the Gulf States—to unite for peace and reconciliation. He underscored the message that “love is more powerful than hatred,” referencing teachings from multiple faiths that emphasize peace as a universal value.

The prayer meeting included intentions for the protection of Indian democracy, judiciary, and media, as well as prayers for leaders like Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif, and U.S. President Donald Trump. Special mention was made of the Supreme Court of India’s action on online betting app frauds, with Dr. Paul thanking Justices Surya Kant and N. Koteswar Singh for their efforts to safeguard Indian youth.

Despite limited preparation time following the court’s order on 23 May, the event was conducted smoothly and lawfully, marking another milestone in Dr. Paul’s lifelong mission for peace. Over the past 44 years, he has led more than 2,200 peace rallies across 155 countries, uniting people of all faiths in the pursuit of nonviolence and global harmony.
