Dr K A Paul Renews Call to End Iran War After US Midterm Results

Dr K A Paul has renewed his appeal to end the Iran war after the US midterm elections, recalling his September warning to Donald Trump

Washington, D.C.: International peace advocate Dr. K. A. Paul has renewed his call for an end to the Iran war following the reported Democratic Party victory in the 2026 US midterm elections. He has urged President Donald Trump and other world leaders to prioritise diplomacy and prevent further loss of life.

Paul, President of the Global Peace Initiative, recalled his remarks at the Global Peace Summit in Washington, D.C., on September 23. He had warned that Trump could face an electoral setback if the Iran conflict continued. He also predicted that Republicans could lose control of both chambers of Congress.

According to the press release, the Democrats have now secured control of the House of Representatives and the Senate. Paul described the reported outcome as a development that reinforced his earlier warning.

He has repeatedly called on Trump to pursue diplomatic efforts to end the conflict. Paul said wars create humanitarian, economic and social challenges that affect people far beyond the countries directly involved.

Paul also commented on the political situation in Israel. He recalled his earlier criticism of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government and its role in regional conflicts.

The release further stated that Netanyahu’s Likud Party won 27 seats in the 120-member Knesset, while the coalition supporting him secured 53 seats. The figures, if confirmed, would leave the bloc short of the 61 seats required for a majority.

Paul also expressed concern about the political future of US House Speaker Mike Johnson. He suggested that Johnson could lose the position when the new Congress takes office in January 2027, while acknowledging his leadership and association with the peace initiative.

Paul urged political leaders to use dialogue and negotiations to resolve conflicts. He said global stability and human lives should take priority over military confrontation.
