Sri Lanka Tourism will connect more than 20 tourism companies with Kerala’s travel trade at its October 30 roadshow in Thiruvananthapuram
Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala: Sri Lanka Tourism will bring more than 20 tourism companies to Thiruvananthapuram on October 30 as it looks to strengthen business ties with Kerala’s travel industry. The event will give tourism providers from Sri Lanka a direct platform to connect with local travel agents, tour operators and other industry professionals.
The Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB), working with the Sri Lanka Deputy High Commission in Chennai, will host the Sri Lanka Tourism B2B Roadshow & Networking Evening – Kerala Series 2026 at Hilton Garden Inn, Trivandrum.
The roadshow forms the final stop in the Kerala series, following events in Kozhikode on October 26 and Kochi on October 28.

More Than 20 Tourism Companies to Participate
The participating companies are expected to represent accommodation providers, destination management firms, attractions and other tourism services. They will present their offerings and explore business opportunities with Kerala-based travel professionals.
The event will focus on buyer-seller meetings, tourism product showcases and networking. It will also include media engagement, destination presentations, cultural performances and a networking dinner.
These interactions could help businesses develop new itineraries, strengthen trade relationships and introduce Sri Lankan travel products to a wider audience in southern India.

Focus on Diverse Travel Segments
The roadshow will cover several tourism categories, including leisure holidays, family travel, luxury stays, wellness retreats, destination weddings and Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE).
Sri Lanka’s combination of beaches, historic sites, wildlife, tea-growing regions and wellness experiences gives travel businesses several options for building packages around different budgets and interests.
Direct engagement with local travel professionals can also help Sri Lankan companies understand customer preferences in Kerala and identify opportunities for future collaboration.

India Plays a Major Role in Sri Lanka Tourism
India remains an important source market for Sri Lanka. Figures included in the event information show that the island welcomed 531,511 Indian visitors in 2025, out of 2,362,521 international tourist arrivals.
By October 22, 2026, Indian arrivals had reached 482,944, accounting for 26.6% of international arrivals recorded up to that date, according to the supplied data.
The figures highlight the value of maintaining strong connections with India’s travel trade. Regional events such as the Kerala roadshow give tourism businesses a chance to build relationships beyond major national travel markets.

Thiruvananthapuram to Host Closing Event
Thiruvananthapuram’s position as a centre for business, culture and tourism makes it a strategic location for the final event. The programme aims to connect Sri Lankan providers with travel agents, corporate travel representatives, MICE specialists and media professionals from the city and neighbouring areas.
The roadshow will conclude the Kerala series on October 30, with organisers seeking to expand destination visibility and create opportunities for continued business cooperation between Sri Lanka and Kerala.
