Days after Tej Pratap’s expulsion triggered controversy, the birth of Tejashwi’s second child brings warmth and unity to the RJD family.
In a welcome moment of joy for the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) family, Tejashwi Yadav and his wife Rajshri Yadav have become parents for the second time, announcing the arrival of their baby boy on Tuesday. The news has brought a wave of happiness to the Yadav household, currently under strain due to recent developments involving Tejashwi’s elder brother, Tej Pratap Yadav.
Tejashwi, the former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, shared the news with his followers on X (formerly Twitter), posting an emotional message alongside a photo of the newborn.
“Good Morning! The wait is finally over! So grateful, blessed and pleased to announce the arrival of our little boy. Jai Hanuman!” he wrote.
The child was born at a private hospital in Kolkata. The couple had earlier welcomed their daughter, Katyayani, during the Navratri festival in 2023, naming her after the sixth form of Goddess Durga.
This happy occasion arrives at a time of intense tension within the Yadav family. Just two days earlier, RJD patriarch Lalu Prasad Yadav made headlines by expelling his elder son Tej Pratap Yadav from both the party and the family. The move came after a controversial social media post by Tej Pratap involving his long-time girlfriend sparked widespread criticism and internal discord.
In contrast, the birth of Tejashwi’s son has brought a brief but meaningful pause in the family’s ongoing conflict. Amid political upheaval and personal distress, the newborn has become a symbol of hope and togetherness for one of Bihar’s most influential political families.
