New Delhi, 17 July 2025

In a bid to strengthen civic engagement and empower grassroots governance, the People Forum of India leadership met with Delhi’s Minister for Art, Culture and Language, Shri Kapil Mishra, to unveil its newly restructured national civic action framework.

The Forum’s delegation, led by Dr. Bhargav Mallappa (National Deputy Chairman – Administration & Organization) and Dr. S. Manimozhyaan (National Chairman), briefed the Minister on its organizational reforms aimed at activating citizen participation at every level—from the national to the taluk.

The revamped structure includes phased leadership appointments across states and districts, with an emphasis on inclusive community-driven governance.

Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Mallappa lauded the Delhi government’s efforts under Minister Kapil Mishra’s leadership. He praised initiatives promoting language diversity, heritage preservation, and public service delivery. “The People Forum of India is keen to align with such models to drive deeper civic mobilization,” he said.

Shri Kapil Mishra welcomed the Forum’s initiative, stating: “This mission reflects today’s India—where civic empowerment, culture, and public participation go hand in hand. Under PM Modi’s leadership, such collaborations can make a lasting impact. The government stands ready to support this effort.”

Dr. Mallappa extended an invitation to the Minister to visit Bengaluru to meet state coordinators and interact with grassroots volunteers.

Later, Dr. S. Manimozhyaan addressed the media, reaffirming the Forum’s vision for a participative governance model rooted in transparency and service. “Partnerships with leaders like Shri Mishra reaffirm our commitment to a people-first approach.”

The People Forum of India, affiliated with the National Bharat Sevak Samaj (established by the Government of India in 1952), is currently undergoing a major transformation to enhance its reach, digital engagement, and volunteer strength across the nation.
