Meedhansh Kumar Gupta, a young technology prodigy from Jalandhar, Punjab, has brought global pride to India after being honored at the prestigious Global Child Prodigy Awards (GCPA) 2025, held at the historic House of Commons in the British Parliament, United Kingdom. The recognition places him among the world’s top 100 young talents under the age of 15.

The award ceremony, hosted yesterday, witnessed the presence of dignitaries, including UK MP Mr. Gareth Bacon (Orpington), who officially launched the book “Top 100 Child Prodigies 2025” and felicitated young achievers from around the globe.

Meedhansh, the only child from Punjab to receive the honor this year, was selected from thousands of nominations across 130 countries for his exceptional contributions to technology, education, and social impact.

Starting his innovation journey at the age of nine during the COVID-19 pandemic, Meedhansh earned early recognition as the Youngest Website Developer in 2020. Since then, he has amassed national and international accolades and is widely admired for leveraging tech to serve society.

A passionate learner and educator, Meedhansh completed 50 advanced tech courses in just one week through LinkedIn Learning — a feat that earned him a world record. He has also trained thousands of students through Mission Aatmanirbhar, an NGO initiative aimed at skill development and digital empowerment.

Among his most significant innovations is a blockchain-based Electronic Voting Machine (EVM), developed after his certification from IIT Madras, aimed at bringing transparency to the electoral process. Earlier, he also developed a telemedicine portal to support remote healthcare access during the pandemic.

In 2022, Meedhansh received the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar, India’s highest civilian award for children, presented by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Praising his contribution, PM Modi had remarked, “The vision of an independent and self-reliant India is becoming a reality through young minds like Meedhansh.”

The Global Child Prodigy Awards is the world’s first initiative recognizing child talent across fields such as music, arts, science, innovation, sports, and social work. Apart from awarding, the platform also fosters mentorship and international collaborations.

With this latest recognition, Meedhansh joins a distinguished community of global changemakers, reaffirming India’s position as a growing hub for young, socially driven innovators.
