Harnaaz Sandhu, who made history as the third Indian after Sushmita Sen and Lara Dutta to win the Miss Universe crown in 2021, is now all set for her Bollywood debut with Tiger Shroff in Baaghi 4. After her pageant victory, the former beauty queen was subjected to body-shaming and trolling for gaining weight. Her incredible metamorphosis has astounded viewers.
On August 22, the makers of Baaghi 4 released the song “Bahli Sohni”, featuring Harnaaz alongside Tiger. Her glamorous avatar in the track, where she flaunts her toned physique in elegant sarees and delivers graceful dance moves, has won her immense praise. Fans flooded social media with compliments, calling her the new-age “desi girl” and comparing her screen presence to Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, and even Sushmita Sen from Main Hoon Na.
After winning Miss Universe, Harnaaz had faced criticism over weight gain, which she later revealed was due to being diagnosed with coeliac disease, a condition that restricts her from consuming wheat and several other foods. Speaking about online bullying, she had shared how people’s opinions made her uncomfortable but emphasized that true worth lies in one’s character, values, and kindness rather than appearances .
Directed by A. Harsha in his Hindi debut and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, Baaghi 4 also stars Sanjay Dutt and Sonam Bajwa in pivotal roles. The much-anticipated action thriller, fourth in the popular franchise, is slated for a theatrical release on September 5.
