New Delhi: In a shocking incident that took place in broad daylight on January 2, 2026, a family in Delhi’s Laxmi Nagar was brutally attacked by four men following a dispute over the ownership of a gym. During the attack, the husband Rajesh Garg was beaten, his wife was allegedly molested, and their teenage son was stripped naked and assaulted on a public road in front of bystanders.

Delhi Police have registered an FIR in the case and arrested one accused, Satish Yadav, while three others are still absconding. CCTV footage of the incident has emerged and is being treated as crucial evidence. Videos of the assault have gone viral on social media, causing widespread anger and concern over public safety.

What Happened: Details of the Incident

The attack was linked to a long-standing dispute over a basement gym in Laxmi Nagar, which is owned by the victim family. The main accused, Satish Yadav (also known as Pintu Yadav), previously worked as a caretaker at the gym.

According to the victims, Satish Yadav cheated them and later took illegal possession of the gym without any legal rights. On January 2, 2026, he allegedly returned with three other men. The group dragged Rajesh Garg out of his house and repeatedly punched and kicked him.

During the attack, Rajesh Garg’s wife was allegedly molested. Their teenage son tried to intervene to protect his parents, but the attackers allegedly stripped him naked, dragged him onto the road, and beat him in full public view.

The entire assault was captured by nearby CCTV cameras, which police are now using as key evidence in the case. No weapons were used, but the attack involved severe physical violence that caused injuries. According to reports, several bystanders witnessed the incident but did not step in.

Victims’ Statements

Rajesh Garg, the gym owner, was the main target of the assault and suffered multiple injuries. His wife, who co-owns the gym, alleged that she was kicked in the stomach and molested during the attack.

Speaking to the media, she said:
“They kicked me in the stomach, stripped my son… The way he was stripped and dragged—is this less than any form of rape?”

The teenage son faced physical assault as well as public humiliation while trying to protect his parents. The family are residents of the area and had no known disputes apart from the gym ownership issue.

The main accused, Satish Yadav (alias Pintu Yadav), was arrested on January 3 or 4, 2026. He is the former caretaker of the gym and is accused of illegally taking control of the property.

Reacting on X, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta linked the incident to “increasing rapes, molestation, and goonda-gardi” in the city and called for strict punishment for the accused.

Residents of Laxmi Nagar have also expressed anger and are demanding quick and firm action. No political connections of either the victims or the accused have been reported.

This case highlights the urgent need for better dispute resolution, stronger law enforcement, and improved safety for women and families in urban areas.
