HRDS INDIA, the official partner organisation in the rehabilitation programme of Operation Sindoor in Jammu and Kashmir, has strongly condemned the brutal killing of 27-year-old Dipu Chandra Das, a Hindu garment factory worker in Bangladesh. Das was allegedly accused of blasphemy by his co-workers and subsequently lynched by a mob near a garment factory on the outskirts of Dhaka.

The organisation described the incident as a shocking act of religiously motivated violence and reiterated that any form of brutality committed in the name of faith or unproven allegations must be unequivocally rejected. HRDS INDIA, which has been engaged in the holistic development of rural and tribal communities across India since 1995, stressed that such crimes must be dealt with strictly under the rule of law and collective moral responsibility.

Reacting to the incident, Atma Nambi, Spiritual Guru and President of HRDS INDIA, called for restraint while underlining the need for justice and compassion. He said that violence and cruelty not only disrupt social harmony but also erode the spiritual foundations of society. Emphasising India’s civilisational ethos, he stated that truth, justice and conscience must guide responses to such tragedies, ensuring that perpetrators are held accountable and humanity is not overtaken by hatred.

Highlighting a wider pattern of concern, Aji Krishnan, Founder-Secretary of HRDS INDIA, expressed serious alarm over what he termed repeated and systemic failures to protect Hindu minorities in Bangladesh. He asserted that such incidents are not isolated but part of a continuing pattern of targeted hostility. Calling for a firm response, he urged the Government of India to adopt strong diplomatic, economic and international measures to convey that violence against Hindus will have clear consequences.

Krishnan further stated that prolonged restraint only encourages impunity, and accountability must be enforced decisively and without delay to uphold human dignity and protect Hindu civilisational values.

HRDS INDIA has appealed to the concerned authorities to conduct a transparent investigation, ensure strict punishment for those responsible, and implement effective safeguards to prevent similar incidents in the future. The organisation also urged citizens to remain united, peaceful and vigilant while upholding constitutional and humanitarian principles in the pursuit of justice.

Reaffirming its long-standing commitment to social upliftment, tribal rights, education, healthcare and national harmony, HRDS INDIA stated that it will continue to stand firmly against injustice and work towards building a society founded on dignity, mutual respect and the rule of law.
