Seva Sankalp Bike Yatra reaches Varanasi after covering nearly 2,000 km across five states, with 25 riders carrying Krishna and Godavari waters to Kashi

Varanasi: The Seva Sankalp Bike Yatra from Tirupati reached Varanasi on Wednesday after covering nearly 2,000 kilometres across five states. The seven-day journey brought together 25 young riders and combined spirituality, youth participation, service and the message of national integration.

The yatra began from Tirupati on September 30 under the guidance of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and IT and Education Minister Nara Lokesh. The Telugu Nadu Students’ Federation (TNSF) and Telugu Yuvata organised the journey as part of the wider Seva Sankalp Abhiyan.

Yatra Covered Five States

The riders began their journey from the foothills of Tirumala after offering prayers for the blessings of Bhagwan Venkateswara. They travelled through Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh before reaching Varanasi.

Along the route, TDP, BJP, JSP and local cadres welcomed the riders at different locations.

The route included major stretches such as Tirupati-Srikalahasti-Kavali, Kavali-Martur-Chilakaluripet-Guntur-Mangalagiri, Mangalagiri-Vijayawada-Mylavaram-Bhadrachalam, Bhadrachalam-Warangal-Karimnagar-Peddapalli-Ramagundam-Mancherial, Mancherial-Adilabad-Nagpur and Nagpur-Jabalpur-Rewa-Prayagraj-Varanasi.

Sacred Waters From Krishna and Godavari Carried to Kashi

One of the central features of the yatra was a Jal Kalash containing sacred water collected from rivers along the route.

The riders collected water from the Krishna River in Vijayawada and the Godavari River at Bhadrachalam. They then carried the water to Kashi for its final spiritual offering towards the Ganga.

The riders also visited several religious sites, including Srikalahasti Temple, Kanaka Durga Temple in Vijayawada, Sri Rama Temple in Bhadrachalam and Champa Ashram Shanti Dham Temple in Maharashtra.

Riders Meet Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis in Nagpur

The journey also included a meeting in Nagpur, where participants Animini Ravi Naidu and M. V. Pranav Gopal interacted with Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. They presented him with prasadam from the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams.

After reaching Varanasi, the riders received a welcome from Rajya Sabha MPs Vijay Chintakayala and Sana Satish Babu. Uttar Pradesh Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Stamp and Court Fee and Registration, Ravindra Jaiswal, also attended the welcome programme.

‘A Living Journey of India’s Cultural Unity’

Speaking at the occasion, Vijay Chintakayala described the journey as more than a bike rally and linked it with India’s wider cultural traditions.

He said the movement of sacred waters from southern rivers towards the Ganga in Kashi represented the cultural connection between different parts of the country.

The organisers also highlighted the participation of young people in public life through the yatra’s focus on seva, sankalp, spirituality, development and national integration.

Yatra Concludes With Ganga Aarti and Kashi Vishwanath Prayers

The journey concluded in Varanasi with participation in the Ganga Aarti and prayers at Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple. The riders also performed Jalabhishek using the sacred waters carried from the Krishna and Godavari rivers.

The organisers said the Tirupati-to-Kashi journey sought to bring together India’s regional traditions and cultural heritage while highlighting youth participation and the broader message of service and national integration.
