Wayanad: A 76-kg cake was cut by Dr. Bhargav Mallappa at Sultan Bathery in Wayanad on Thursday to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 76th birthday. The celebration took place at Adithara Auditorium.
The 76-kg cake served as the main attraction of the event and represented the Prime Minister’s 76 years. Organisers also held a special pooja and offered prayers for PM Modi’s good health and well-being.
Dr. Bhargav Mallappa attended the programme along with Dr. Subbha Somu, Chairman, National Board for Workers Education, Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India; Prasanth Malavayal, BJP District President, Wayanad; and spiritual leaders Madurai Aadheenam Srimath Vishwalinga Thambiran, Thiru Rajasekar Swamigal and Thavathiru Palani Adigalar.
The event also saw the launch of The Modi Era: India’s Journey of Transformation, a book written by Dr. Bhargav Mallappa. The book explores Prime Minister Modi’s leadership and India’s transformation, focusing on digital governance, digital payments, financial inclusion and technology-led public services.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Bhargav Mallappa said, “This is the first time that Prime Minister Modi Ji’s birthday has been celebrated on such a grand scale in Wayanad. The 76-kg cake is a small gesture of our affection and respect for him. We also offered prayers for his good health and well-being. I wish Modi Ji a long, healthy and fulfilling life and hope that he continues to serve the nation with the same dedication.”
Prasanth Malavayal said the celebration gave people in Wayanad an opportunity to come together for the Prime Minister’s birthday.
“It is a matter of happiness for Wayanad to come together and celebrate the Prime Minister’s 76th birthday. The scale of today’s celebration reflects the enthusiasm of the people who have gathered here to celebrate the occasion,” he said.
