Honoured for outstanding contributions to Media, Communication, and South Asia Media Diplomacy with the prestigious LIPI Europe Media Award 2026
New Delhi: Senior journalist and media communication expert Dr. O.P. Yadav earned the prestigious LIPI Europe Media Award 2026 for his outstanding contributions to media, communication, and South Asia media diplomacy.
Europe (Literary Intellectuals and Poets of India Origin, Europe) presented the award during its flagship “India Beyond Borders” international cultural and literary event at the Constitution Club of India in New Delhi.
The award was jointly presented by Prof. S.P. Singh Baghel, Union Minister of State for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying and Panchayati Raj; Kanpur MP Ramesh Awasthi; Sunil Kumar Singh, Director of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) under the Ministry of External Affairs; Padma Shri Surendra Sharma; and Dr. Yojna Jain, President of LIPI Europe.
Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Baghel commended Dr. Yadav’s significant contributions to media and communication at South Asian University (SAU), acknowledging his efforts in strengthening academic excellence and regional media engagement.
Accepting the honour, Dr. Yadav said the LIPI Europe Media Award 2026 is both a privilege and a responsibility. He thanked LIPI Europe, the selection committee, and the jury, adding that the recognition would inspire him to further promote dialogue, cultural cooperation, and media diplomacy across India and South Asia.
