Leaders and social workers paid tributes and remembered her historic contribution to Delhi’s development
The 88th birth anniversary of former Delhi Chief Minister Late Sheila Dikshit was observed with respect and dignity at her old residence. On this occasion, her son and former Member of Parliament Sandeep Dikshit, her sister Rama Dhawan, and her daughter Latika Dikshit, along with several distinguished personalities, were present.
All leaders, social workers, and supporters present at the programme offered floral tributes to the portrait of Late Sheila Dikshit and paid heartfelt homage. They also remembered her unparalleled contribution to the development of Delhi. Speakers said that Sheila Dikshit gave Delhi a modern identity through her capable leadership and visionary thinking, and played a historic role in strengthening the capital’s infrastructure.
On this occasion, former Delhi Minister Kiran Walia, Shish Pal, Vijay Lochav, senior Congress leader Jitendra Kochar, Virendra Kasana, C.P. Mittal, A.K. Tripathi, Adesh Bhardwaj, Pushpa Satveer, Dinesh Kumar, Brij Mohan, Nathu Singh Numberdar, Lakshman Rawat, Rajeev Verma, Mahendra Bhaskar, and President of the Accredited Journalists Association Vijay Shankar Chaturvedi, along with many other prominent leaders and workers, were present.
