Protests supporting Palestine have taken a serious turn in the UK. On Friday, two members of the activist group Palestine Action broke into the Royal Air Force base at Brize Norton in Oxfordshire and damaged two military Voyager aircraft.

The group said its members sprayed red paint on the aircraft, targeting the engines and making them unusable. They also posted a video of the act on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), taking full responsibility and calling it a form of “direct action.”

UK Military Accused of Supporting Israel

Palestine Action claims the UK government is still supporting Israel militarily, despite growing criticism. They allege that the British Air Force is flying surveillance missions over Gaza and refueling American and Israeli fighter jets.

Defence Ministry Reacts Strongly

The UK’s Ministry of Defence condemned the incident, calling it a direct attack on national security. In a statement, the ministry said, “Our armed forces are always dedicated to serving the nation. Actions like these disrespect their sacrifice and commitment. We will not tolerate such behavior.”

Authorities have launched a full investigation. Police and security officials are looking into how the activists managed to enter the base and what their exact goals were.

Repeated Attacks on Military Sites

This is not the first time Palestine Action has targeted defence-related sites. The group has been protesting for months against companies linked to Israel and military facilities in the UK. In this latest act, they not only damaged aircraft and painted the runway, but also raised a Palestinian flag inside the base.

Growing Concerns Over National Security

This incident has raised serious questions about how well protected the UK’s military bases are. Experts say such protests are no longer limited to public streets—they are now reaching highly sensitive locations.

Security analysts warn that if these actions aren’t stopped soon, they could pose a real threat to national safety. The government is now facing pressure to boost military security and take firm steps to stop such aggressive protests in the future.
