Jabalpur: Union Minister Jual Oram’s train journey took a mysterious turn when he went missing during transit from Delhi to Jabalpur. The minister, who had boarded the Gondwana Express from Hazrat Nizamuddin Station on Saturday night, was discovered missing on Sunday morning when his berth was found empty at Damoh station, triggering a frantic search operation. He was subsequently discovered hurt aboard another train, 162 km away.
What Happened?
– Jual Oram had taken the Gondwana Express from Delhi last Saturday night.
– His berth was discovered empty by Sunday morning at Damoh station, triggering fears that he had fallen off the train.
– Railway officials and RPF immediately conducted a search operation.
Where Was He Found?
The minister was found in Coach B3 (Berth No. 57) of Sampark Kranti Express during a three-hour search at Sihora station. It is said that he might have alighted at a previous station and, in an attempt to board the train again, slipped and injured himself in the process. Since he had low blood sugar levels, he was said to be confused and boarded the wrong train.
Health Condition & Response
– Oram was given first aid at Sihora before he was taken to Jabalpur for treatment.
– Railway authorities responded quickly, but the minister has not yet made an official statement.
The accident has led to questions over railway safety protocols, particularly for VIP passengers. An investigation has been launched to ascertain the order of events.
