Global peace leader calls for the resignation of Ram Mohan Naidu over Civil Aviation mismanagement and international repercussions; also urges de-escalation in the Israel-Iran conflict to prevent global war

Renowned global humanitarian and peace activist Dr. K.A. Paul held an urgent press conference today at A.P. Bhavan, New Delhi, calling on Prime Minister Narendra Modi to seek the immediate resignation of Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu. The appeal comes in the wake of the Air India Flight 171 tragedy, which claimed nearly 300 lives, including 169 Indians.
Dr. Paul raised serious concerns over Minister Naidu’s lack of aviation experience, stating that the appointment of a 37-year-old without relevant expertise to such a critical post has brought global embarrassment to India following the devastating crash.
“I’m calling for the resignation of Civil Aviation Minister Mr. Ram Mohan Naidu. He is a young 37-year-old man, doesn’t have any aviation experience. Running aviation is complicated — I’ve owned my own aircraft since 1991,” Dr. Paul stated.
The crash not only led to the loss of Indian lives, but also included 53 British nationals, 7 Portuguese citizens, 1 Canadian, and several student doctors. Dr. Paul emphasized that the international loss magnifies the need for leadership accountability and swift action to restore India’s global image.
“To save India’s image globally, he must resign,” he urged.
In the same address, Dr. Paul turned attention to the escalating geopolitical tensions between Israel and Iran, making a heartfelt appeal to both nations to step back from the brink of war. As a former state guest in both countries, he cautioned against further aggression, warning of the possibility of a World War III scenario.
“I’m requesting Prime Minister Netanyahu to stop attacking nuclear sites in Iran… and requesting Iranian leadership not to retaliate. We don’t want wars — 56 wars are enough,” Dr. Paul said.
Having delivered humanitarian aid and peace missions across conflict zones, Dr. Paul highlighted that continued hostilities could draw in global powers and trigger far-reaching consequences for international peace and security.
The press conference concluded with a strong message of peace, accountability, and global cooperation, reflecting Dr. Paul’s long-standing advocacy for humanitarian values and responsible governance.
