Ajay Devgn Announces ‘Son of Sardaar 2’ Release Date; Set to Clash with Siddharth-Janhvi’s ‘Param Sundari’ at the Box Office

A decade after the original hit, Ajay Devgn is set to bring back his beloved comic-action persona in Son of Sardaar 2, the much-awaited sequel to his 2012 blockbuster. The actor officially revealed the release date — 25 July 2025 — via his Instagram handle, along with the film’s first poster.

In his post, Devgn wrote:
“The return of the Sardaar! #SOS2 coming to your nearest theatres on July 25. #SardaarIsBack #SonOfSardaar2”

The poster features Ajay in his signature look from the original — turban-clad, mustached, and full of swagger — promising a nostalgic ride with a fresh twist.

Comedy Comeback for Devgn

After years of intense roles in films like Bholaa, Maidaan, Shaitaan, and the upcoming Singham Again, Ajay Devgn is returning to comedy with Son of Sardaar 2. Directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, the sequel features Mrunal Thakur as the female lead and is produced by Ajay Devgn himself along with Jyoti Deshpande, N.R. Pachisia, Pravin Talreja, and Fox Star Studios.

A Star-Studded Ensemble

The film also boasts an impressive supporting cast including Sanjay Dutt, Sahil Mehta, Kubbra Sait, and Ravi Kishan, adding to the anticipation around the sequel.
