Noida-Based Platform Introduces Formal Price Discovery and Logistics Coordination for India’s Fragmented Secondary Materials Market, Targeting a ₹2,00,000+ Crore Opportunity
Noida: Noida-based Industry Auction Hub Pvt. Ltd. (IAH) has introduced a B2B digital marketplace for industrial commodities, scrap, and idle industrial assets. Accessible through industryauctionhub.com, the platform is designed to make India’s secondary materials trade more transparent, efficient, and technology-driven through verified auctions, structured transactions, and integrated logistics solutions. The service has initially been rolled out across the National Capital Region (NCR).
he launch aims to solve one of the biggest challenges in India’s industrial ecosystem—the fragmented and broker-driven trade of secondary materials, which often lacks transparency, standardized pricing, and efficient transactions.
By creating a structured marketplace for underutilized industrial materials, IAH seeks to strengthen India’s circular economy while enabling businesses to reduce raw material costs and improve supply chain efficiency. The platform enters the market at a crucial time, as India is expected to face a domestic scrap deficit of 13–15 million tonnes by FY30, with demand projected to reach 61.8 million tonnes compared to an estimated domestic supply of 46.7 million tonnes.
Speaking on the launch, Sudhir Agarwal, Co-founder of Industry Auction Hub Pvt. Ltd., said, “India’s challenge is not the availability of materials but the lack of visibility. Valuable industrial resources are spread across factories, plants, and industrial yards, yet they remain confined to fragmented broker networks. The industry has long needed a trusted, technology-led platform that directly connects sellers with the widest pool of buyers through a transparent process.”
“That is the gap we are working to bridge,” said Sudhir Agarwal, Co-Founder of Industry Auction Hub Private Limited.
IAH follows a “List, Bid, Deliver” model tailored for industrial transactions. Once a listing is created, independent third-party inspectors verify and catalogue the inventory within 48 hours. Verified buyers then compete in transparent, time-bound online auctions. Payments are secured through an escrow mechanism, with funds released only after successful delivery confirmation, ensuring a secure, transparent, and audit-compliant transaction process.
The marketplace supports trading in ferrous and non-ferrous scrap, surplus industrial inventory, off-specification materials, idle machinery, while also providing logistics and working capital solutions for MSMEs.
The company also plans to roll out a price intelligence service that will provide real-time commodity indices and regional pricing insights, enabling businesses to make more informed procurement and sales decisions. Through these initiatives, IAH aims to promote organized price discovery, greater transparency, and improved efficiency across India’s industrial materials market.
