Senior Journalist Rakesh Singh Re-Nominated as Member of Safdarjung Hospital & VMMC Committee for Another Term

The committee is entrusted with preventing ragging, engaging with students, resolving grievances, spreading awareness and strengthening a secure academic ecosystem under the UGC Anti-Ragging framework

New Delhi: Senior journalist Rakesh Kumar Singh has been re-nominated as a member of the committee of Safdarjung Hospital and Vardhman Mahavir Medical College (VMMC), one of India’s premier government healthcare institutions, ensuring the continuation of his association with the institution for another term.

According to the official order, Singh has been re-nominated as a Member representing the local media on the committee. Along with representatives from the civil administration, legal fraternity, police, NGOs and parents, he will contribute to initiatives aimed at ensuring a safe and conducive academic environment for students. The committee is responsible for preventing ragging in accordance with UGC guidelines, interacting with students, addressing complaints, creating awareness, and carrying out responsibilities assigned by the Principal.

Expressing his gratitude, Rakesh Singh thanked everyone for their continued support and trust.

He said, “I am honoured to continue serving as a Member of Safdarjung Hospital and Vardhman Mahavir Medical College. I sincerely thank everyone for their support, encouragement and good wishes.
