Delhi / Hyderabad: Praja Shanti Party President Dr K A Paul has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to hold direct talks with students protesting over the NEET issue, emphasizing dialogue over confrontation to achieve a peaceful resolution.
Expressing concern over reports and visuals of police action during the protests, Dr Paul said the voices of students should be heard with empathy. He stressed that young people demonstrating peacefully deserve an opportunity to present their concerns without fear of force or intimidation.
Dr Paul said the ongoing situation has attracted international attention and urged the Centre to address the matter in a way that reflects India’s democratic values. He added that protecting the aspirations of students should remain a national priority.
Appealing to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Dr Paul requested that security agencies exercise restraint while handling peaceful demonstrations and create an environment where meaningful discussions can take place.
He said a constructive dialogue between the government and student representatives would help rebuild confidence among the youth and lead to a fair and lasting solution. Dr Paul urged the government to act promptly in the interest of students and the country’s education system.
