India Declares Future Terror Attacks as Acts of War Amid Escalating Conflict with Pakistan
Following deadly cross-border strikes and drone warfare, India warns future terror attacks will be treated as an act of war; both nations agree to U.S.-brokered ceasefire amid global concerns

In a significant escalation of tensions, India has announced that any future terrorist attacks will be treated as acts of war, warranting full-scale military responses. This declaration comes after a series of deadly exchanges between India and Pakistan, marking the most intense conflict between the two nuclear-armed neighbors in over two decades.
The recent hostilities were triggered by a terrorist attack in Indian-administered Kashmir, which resulted in the deaths of 26 civilians. India attributed the attack to Pakistan-based militants, prompting a series of retaliatory strikes.
In response, Pakistan launched “Operation Bunyan Marsoos,” targeting Indian military facilities. Both sides have employed advanced military technologies, including drones and missile systems, leading to significant casualties and infrastructure damage.

Amid escalating violence, international actors, including the United States, the United Kingdom, China, and the G7, have called for restraint. U.S. President Donald Trump announced that both India and Pakistan have agreed to a U.S.-mediated ceasefire.
Despite the ceasefire agreement, tensions remain high. Both nations have expressed a commitment to non-escalation, conditional upon mutual restraint. The international community continues to monitor the situation closely, emphasizing the grave risks of further escalation between the two nuclear powers.
