12 May 2025, Haryana

On the auspicious occasion of Buddha Purnima, Advocate Ravi (Sonu) Kundli, the Haryana State President of the Republican Party of India (Athawale), extended heartfelt greetings to the people of Haryana and the nation. Emphasizing the ongoing relevance of Gautam Buddha’s teachings, he highlighted their importance in fostering social harmony, peace, and justice in contemporary society.

Speaking about Buddha’s values of peace, compassion, and non-violence, Ravi Kundli stressed that these principles are critical for understanding the true essence of equality and dignity, particularly for marginalized communities who have faced years of discrimination and injustice.

He also drew a powerful connection between the thoughts of Gautam Buddha and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, noting that Dr. Ambedkar’s historic decision to embrace Buddhism in 1956 was a significant stand against social inequality. This act, he said, continues to serve as a symbol of dignity, empowerment, and liberation for the Dalit community.

“Dr. Ambedkar’s conversion was not merely a spiritual journey; it was a bold message for social transformation, proving that peaceful alternatives exist to challenge injustice and discrimination,” said Kundli.

Highlighting the ongoing efforts of the Republican Party of India (Athawale) in Haryana, Ravi Kundli reiterated the party’s commitment to safeguarding the rights of the Dalit community and its broader goal of advancing social equality and justice.

In his message to the youth, Ravi Kundli emphasized the urgent need for adopting the values of dialogue, mutual respect, and unity in an era where division and hostility seem to be on the rise. He encouraged the younger generation to read and internalize the thoughts of both Gautam Buddha and Dr. Ambedkar and make them an integral part of their lives.

Kundli urged young people to actively promote the core values of social justice, equality, and non-violence, contributing to the creation of a more just and inclusive society.
