Tree plantation drive gains momentum in Dayalpur; 10,000 trees to be planted under CSR initiative

Faridabad, April 23, 2025 —
A major tree plantation drive is underway in Dayalpur village, Faridabad, as part of a collaborative effort between Imperial Auto Industries Limited and the National Human Welfare Council. Launched in November 2024 under the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, the initiative aims to plant 10,000 trees across the region.
Hundreds of saplings have already been planted by volunteers, marking the beginning of a long-term commitment to environmental sustainability. The Council, which is executing the drive on the ground, is working steadily to meet the ambitious target set by Imperial Auto.
Speaking about the initiative, Council President Gunjan Mehta expressed gratitude to the company for its support. He noted that after consultations with the village head and local residents, the team identified Dayalpur as a suitable location. The community responded enthusiastically, offering their full cooperation.
A four-acre plot known as Herbal Park—lying unused since 2018—was selected for the plantation. After securing written permissions, the team cleared and prepared one acre for planting. Within a month, groundwork was completed and large-scale plantation efforts began.
Looking ahead, the Council is organizing a major plantation event on June 5, coinciding with World Environment Day, and has extended a formal invitation to Imperial Auto Industries to participate in the celebrations.
Beyond tree planting, the initiative is also focused on raising environmental awareness and encouraging community participation in conservation efforts. Organizers hope that the project will serve as a model for sustainable development and ecological responsibility in the region.
