New Delhi, Jan 17
With just few weeks left for the crucial Delhi assembly, former Delhi BJP chief and party’s candidate from Malviya Nagar assembly seat Satish Upadhyay on Friday shared his robust vision for the assembly constituency and slammed the AAP for not fulfilling any of its promises in last 10 years.
Addressing a press conference at his election office here, Upadhyay shared his bright and robust “roadmap” for the development of Malviya Nagar Assembly Constituency and also slammed Somnath Bharti for not working in last 10 years in the area.
Inspired by the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a developed India by 2047 and Digital India, Upadhyay shared his roadmap for the upcoming Delhi Assembly Elections 2025.
Targeting the ruling AAP in Delhi, he stated that the Aam Aadmi Party failed to fulfill its promises to the public.
“Basic issues such as water supply and sewer problems remain unresolved. The dream of making Delhi like Paris or London remains unfulfilled, with people struggling for basic amenities. Contaminated water supply and the mixing of sewer water with drinking water pose severe health risks,” Upadhyay said.

He mentioned that the infrastructure is in a deplorable state, with broken roads and waterlogging during rains being common.
Health services are also inadequate, with a lack of doctors and medicines in Mohalla Clinics. The benefits of the Ayushman Bharat scheme are not reaching the people of Delhi, he said.
Upadhyay also accused the AAP’s convener and former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of corruption and arrogance, which have harmed the public, while electricity and water bills continue to rise.
“The government lacks innovation and creative platforms for the youth, which has also lowered the city’s happiness index. Finally, he highlighted the concerning state of security and cleanliness, leading to growing public frustration and dissatisfaction,” he said.
The BJP leader stated that if the party forms government, it will focus on the key initiatives for the development of the Malviya Nagar Assembly Constituency.
He said that a single-window solution will be implemented for all local issues, ensuring timely accountability to the public.
He also said that electricity and water bills will be thoroughly reviewed, and erroneous bills will be canceled.
Upadhyay said that immediate removal of garbage heaps and strict monitoring of waste management and cleanliness will be ensured.
He said that open drains, waterlogging, and sewerage improvement works will be examined by an expert committee to ensure permanent solutions.
“Under the ‘Har Ghar Jal’ scheme, clean drinking water supply and regular water quality checks will be ensured, eliminating impure drinking water issues,” he said.
He also emphasised that Ayushman Bharat Yojana will be implemented, ensuring the mandatory availability of doctors at health centers and establishing multispecialty centers.
Traffic control in crowded areas*
of the constituency and making all roads pothole-free, he said.
He also said that he will work to increase the number of DTC buses considering the population of Malviya Nagar and even the stalled ration card registration process, which has been inactive for the past 10 years, will be resumed, and new ration cards will be issued.
He also said that he will kickstart his Jan Ashirvad Padyatra for next 10 seats in the assembly constituency and gove his vision to the people.
