The victims of the Jallianwala Bagh atrocity were honoured on Saturday by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It was on this day in 1919 that British forces opened fire on peaceful protestors, killing hundreds of them.
“I offer my sincere condolences to all the courageous victims of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre on behalf of my family members throughout the nation,” PM Modi wrote on X.
