MERI Group Highlights Education, Start-Up Initiatives, and Global Collaboration

The MERI Group of Institutions, Janakpuri, hosted a press conference today at the Press Club, shedding light on its innovative initiatives, including the MERI Center for International Studies (CIS) and the MERI Start-Up Hub, alongside its diverse academic offerings.

A Legacy in Education
Prof. Lalit Aggarwal, Vice President of the MERI Group, opened the event, reflecting on the institution’s 30-year legacy of providing quality education. “MERI Group of Institutions has been a significant player in providing UGC-recognized courses affiliated with IP University, Delhi, and MDU, Rohtak,” he stated.

Cultural Connections Through CIS
Highlighting the MERI Center for International Studies, Prof. Aggarwal emphasized its role in fostering global cultural and intellectual exchanges. “CIS enables students to understand and engage with global perspectives, blending modern education with cultural heritage,” he said.

Dr. Ramakant Dwivedi, Head of CIS, noted its pioneering efforts: “Traditionally a government domain, MERI has brought this initiative into private education to enhance students’ awareness of international affairs and global geopolitics.”

Empowering Entrepreneurs
The MERI Start-Up Hub was presented as a cornerstone for nurturing entrepreneurial talent. Prof. Aggarwal underscored its objective of fostering self-reliance and innovation, stating, “The hub equips students to operate on a global platform and create employment opportunities.”

Mr. Luv Aggarwal, Head of the Start-Up Hub, elaborated: “We aim to tackle start-up challenges while boosting creative thinking and self-confidence, preparing students to face global challenges and contribute to the economy.”

Practical and Industry-Ready Education
Dean of MERI College, Prof. (Dr.) Deepshikha Kalra, highlighted the institution’s commitment to practical education through research, industrial visits, and case studies. “MERI ensures students are industry-ready and globally competitive,” she said.

Dr. S.K. Pandey added insights on the BA (JMC) program: “Our ‘One Subject, One Skill’ approach ensures students are well-equipped for media careers with hands-on expertise.”

Interactive Session and Notable Attendance
The conference concluded with a Q&A session where officials addressed media queries. Prominent attendees included Prof. (Dr.) Rakesh Khurana, Dr. Tapas Dey, and Prof. Sadanand Pandey, who moderated the event.
